ASX-listed miner Indo Mines Limited said on Friday its current coal production has reached 20,000 tons of thermal coal per month from its Mangkok coal project in South Kalimantan.
The company said it has lowered its initial production target from 50,000 tons per month to 30,000 tons per month as a result of logistical complexities.
Exploration is continuing in other significant coal opportunities both in the region and other locations across Indonesia, it said.
Indo Mines has several projects in Indonesia, including the development of the Yogyakarta Pig Iron project. (denny)
