Indo Muro denies publishing false gold output reports

Publicly listed PT Indo Muro Kencana (IMK), which produces gold in North Barito regency, South Kalimantan, has denied allegation that the gold mining company had published a false report in its gold production.

Hasanuddin, a senior official of the company, said that the company?s production was all in the form of concentrates, which were processed by state owned old processing company PT Logam Mulia in Jakarta.

He said that PT Logam Mulia, as the processor of the gold concentrates, reported the production to IMK, which later submitted the report to the government to determine the royalty payment. ?It was impossible for use to make a false report. PT Logam Mulia as state firm would not also do such wrong doing,? he added.

He said that as a public company, Indo Muro would be very careful because any wrong doing would damage its image.(*)
