Indo Straits signs transshipment contract with Karya Utama

IDX-listed PT Indo Straits Tbk has signed an agreement to provide transshipment management service including fuel/consumables supply for PT Karya Utama Tambangjaya. The services and fuel/consumables supply is for the operation of bauxite transshipment from barges to the mother vessels in Padang Tikar, West Kalimantan.
The period of the agreement which was signed last Friday is approximately 12 months from the signing date of the agreement, and may be extended. The contract value is approximately US$8.6 million, the company said in a statement on Monday.
Karya Utama is a subsidiary of Harita Group, a large group with core business in natural resources, operating across Indonesia. Currently, Harita has businesses in nickel, bauxite and coal mining, palm oil plantations, shipping and others.
This is a remarkable achievement for Indo Straits as it is trusted by a large group to provide service for its subsidiary.
