Indo Tambangraya Megah: Temporary stoppage of Jorong operation

(11 February 2010)--PT. Jorong Barutama Greston?s Mine (?Jorong Mine?), a subsidiary company of ITM Public Company, has shut down its mining operation since late last week. The stoppage was contributed mainly by the overlapping of related Ministerial Regulations from different Ministries. The Company, however, do hope that this issue will be settled soon.
The temporary cease of Jorong ?s operation will slightly affect ITM's coal production this year as the coal output from Jorong Mine is accounted for around 1.97 million tons or 8.6 percent of total production of 23 million tons targeted for 2010.
