Cement producer PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (IDX: INTP) has signed a refuse derived fuel (RDF) sales and purchase agreement with the Integrated Waste Management Unit (UPST) of the Jakarta Provincial Environmental Agency.

The agreement, signed on 16 December 2025, covers the use of RDF produced at the Rorotan waste management plant in Jakarta as an alternative fuel in Indocement’s cement manufacturing operations. The initiative is aimed at reducing reliance on fossil fuels while supporting integrated urban waste management.

The signing was carried out by Agung Pujo Winarko, head of UPST Jakarta, and Indocement director Oey Marcos, alongside procurement and AFAM general manager Soegito C. Kurniawan, and was witnessed by Jakarta Environmental Agency head Asep Kuswanto.

This marks the second collaboration between Indocement and UPST, following an earlier agreement to utilize RDF from the TPST Bantar Gebang facility. The partnership underscores a shared commitment to circular economy principles and the energy transition.

Indocement said the use of RDF aligns with its ESG strategy and is expected to deliver environmental benefits by lowering emissions while contributing to more sustainable waste handling in the capital.
