Indocement to build power plant in Pati

The company?s corporate secretary Sahat Panggabean said in Jakarta on Thursday that the power plant which would be built with total costs of between US$150 and $200 million would be operated to provide power supply for the company?s new cement plant in the town.
?Investment for the cement plant will reach $300 million. Total investment including those for the power plant is estimated to reach $500 millon,? he said, adding that the new cement plant is expected to begin commercial operation in 2012.
He said that the new cement plant will increase the total production capacity of Indocement by between 2 and 3 million tons by 2015. At present, Indocement?s total production capacity is 18.5 million tons. (*)
