Coal miner IndoMet Coal (IMC), a jointly owned company by BHP Biliton and Adaro Energy, would commence trial production this year after the ongoing construction of supporting infrastructure such as hailing road, water dam and office facility complete.
Billiton owns 75 per cent of IMC. PT Alam Tri Abadi (ATA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Adaro Energy, owns 25 percent of IMC.
IMC holds metallurgical and energy coal deposits in seven coal contracts of work (CCoWs) located in Kalimantan.
?We predict infrastructure development will complete this year and followed by the trial production,? Adaro?s Director of Corporate Affairs Andre J Mamuaya told Petromindo.com without elaborating the targeted coal production.
?Daily operation and general policies of IMC would be under BHP Billiton. Our role (Adaro) is as advisory.?
