Indominco receives ISO 9001 management award

East Kalimantan-based coalminer PT Indominco Mandiri has received the ISO 9001 award of the 2000 version, for its outstanding achievements in quality management, local daily Kaltim Post reported Monday.
Societe Generale de Surveillance (SGS), the leading verification, testing and certification company, presented the award to Indominco through SGS Indonesia vice president Erna Linda in Bontang last Friday.
Indomico is wholly owned by Thai energy conglomerate Banpu Plc, producing around 3.5 million tons of coal annually from its Bontang coalmine in East Kalimantan. (*)
