Indomining halts exploration activity

IDX-listed coal mining group PT Toba Sejahtra Tbk reported that its East Kalimantan coal unit PT Indomining has stopped drilling activity as the whole drilling exploration schedule within the mine has been completed.
With the drilling completion, active pit in the area now accounts for about 54.8% of the total area of 683 ha, Toba said. The remaining area is non active pit, which is the area for infrastructure, warehouse, office, etc
The company has completed the whole exploration activity since October 2012, Toba said.
As of Feb. 2012, the JORC-compliant open cut coal resources estimated a total of 37 million tons, which 24 million tons are classified as measured, 9 million tons as indicated.
Indomining targets to produce around 1.8 million tons in 2013, up from 1.1 million in 2012.
The mine is located in Kutai Kartanegara which started production in 2007. The company produces coal with CV of 4,200 - 5,800 Kcal/kg (GAR) with total sulphur varied between 0.2-2.0%.
