Indomining ramps up 2009 coal production

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Indomining said it would increase 2009 production to 1.2 million tonnes from 900,000 tonnes previously.
The company?s officer Rudy Ismail told Petromindo.Com that the company?s mine , which is located in Kutai Kartanegara, has started production in 2007.
The mine?s production capacity is currently 1.5MTPA, he said, adding that the company ship its production from Mahakam river port by barges to Muara Jawa and Muara Berau transshipment points.
The company sells its entire production to export market such as Japan, Korea and India through Singapore-based agent. The company produces coal with CV of around 6,000 Kcal/kg (ADB) and has reserves of about 20 MT, he said.
Mining operations was conducted by PT Sapta Indra Sejati (SIS), a contractor unit of PT Adaro Energy.(denny)
