Indomobil Group through its coal mining services subsidiary PT Prima Sarana Gemilang (PSG) produced 500,000 tons of coal during the first quarter of this year. Production figure for same quarter of last year was not provided.
The output came from two mining pits within the coal concession owned by PT Nusantara Berau Coal in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan. Indomobil has set a full-year target of 2.4 million tons of coal from the concession.
?The main obstacle for our operation during the first quarter was weather factor,? said Assistant to President Director CV-HDTE & Mining Operations Indomobil, Bambang Prijono to Petromindo.com Thursday.
Bambang said that overburden removal during the quarter reached 2.9 million bank cubic meters.
Indomobil Group began producing coal at the Nusantara Berau Coal concession since 2011. Both companies are owned by the well-diversified Salim Group.
