Indonesia-listed energy firm PT Adaro Energy Tbk reported Friday that its wholly-owned coal terminal services unit PT Indonesia Bulk Terminal (IBT) has shipped a total of 820,000 tonnes of coal during the first quarter of this year, down 53 percent from 1.76 million tonnes in the corresponding period of last year.
The decrease in coal shipment was due to the company?s strategy to maximize utilization of the Taboneo anchorage, the company said.
Compared to the previous quarter, the company?s total shipment was also down by 33 percent from 1.23 million tonnes. (denny)
