Indonesian coal mining association (APBI-ICMA) said that realized coal production from Indonesian coal miners reached 342 million tonnes of coal in 2011, the chairman of the association told Petromindo.Com.

Bob Kamandanu said that the figure might be higher than the real condition.

For this year, APBI is predicting to produce around 360-370 million tonnes of coal. Most of Indonesian coal miners are still in expansion mode, he said.

He also said that for January until April period of this year the production is expected to be lower due to wet weather condition. ?January and February are the worst periods of the wet season,? he said, adding that the situation is already anticipated by all miners in Indonesia.
