Indonesia Coal Resources plans to build mine-mouth power plant

Coal producer, PT Indonesia Coal Resources, a subsidiary of state-owned mining company PT Aneka Tambang Tbk has unveiled plans to build a mine-mouth power plant at its Sorolangon mine in Jambi,
?One of our plans is to build a mine-mouth power plant,? President Director of Indonesia Coal Resources, Bachtiar Magalantung told Petromindo.
He did not elaborate on the schedule and the planned capacity of the mine-mouth power plant.
Indonesia Coal Resources also plans to apply the upgrading coal technology to increase its coal calorific value from 3,200 kcal/kg to 5,600-6,000 kcal/kg.
The company earlier said that it failed to meet its target of 700,000 tons of coal to deliver in 2011 after the administration of Jambi temporarily barred the company from using public road to transport its coal during the period from November 1 to December 1, last year.
Bachtiar said that the company aims to produce 1.5 million tons of coal this year.
