The info center called LINTAS EBTKE (Layanan Informasi dan Investasi Energi Baru Terbarukan & Konservasi Energi ? Information and Investment Services on new and Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation) is located in Cikini, Central Jakarta. It was jointly launched by EBTKE Director General Ridha Mulyana and Ambassador of Denmark to Indonesia Casper Klynge.
The center aims to achieve Indonesia?s energy mix target by providing information and facilitating investments and increased cooperation in clean energy and energy conservation sector. Indonesia set the target of 23 percent for the portion of renewable energy in the national energy mix in 2025 and an annual 1 percent reduction of national energy intensity.
LINTAS EBTKE serves a clean energy one-stop shop that will help guide the use of renewable energy and energy conservation solutions by offering needed information on existing regulations, best available technologies, financing and investment opportunities as well as on technical assistance to projects and proposals being developed. LINTAS EBTKE is also accessible online at the ministry?s website.
?We often receive questions regarding the implementation of new and renewable energy and energy conservation, like how can we save energy in a financially meaningful way and which renewable energy solutions are available and feasible. LINTAS EBTKE can help answer these questions and facilitate information-sharing that will contribute to the implementation of new clean energy projects in the years to come,? stated.
LINTAS EBTKE EBTKE will work closely together with other institutions and initiatives like the Indonesian Clean Energy Center of Excellence, National Energy Council, PLN and associations like METI and MASKEII. By sharing and pooling information and data, stakeholders in the clean energy sector can access information directly or be referred onwards to relevant resource persons, the statement said.
