?Fujian has planned to raise the capacity of its LNG receiving terminal to 5 million tons. This means it will raise the LNG imports. Thus, Indonesia has the chance of raising its LNG supply to the province,? Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro was quoted by the paper as saying.
Indonesia will send its proposal to increase the LNG supply, once the province fix the plan to raise the capacity of the LNG receiving terminal.
Indonesia has thus far won the contract to supply 2.6 million tons of LNG per year to the province from the planned Tangguh LNG plant in Papua for a contractual period of 25 years starting from 2007.
Purnomo was optimistic that Indonesia will win the additional contract given the good relation between the Indonesian and Chinese governments. (*)
