Indonesia may sell spot cargoes to PTT

Thai firm PTT PCL is seeking to buy spot cargoes from Indonesia to for its Map Ta Phut LNG terminal in Thailand, which is scheduled to start commercial operations in the third quarter of this year, an official with upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said on Wednesday.
Deputy Chairman Wibowo Wiryawan told Petromindo.Com that the cargoes will be used for the terminal?s commissioning.
?Thailand has formally submitted request to buy the LNG cargoes and Indonesia might allocate 2-3 cargoes to be shipped to Thailand,? he said. An industry source said that PTT has asked to buy 6 cargoes.
Wibowo did not say when the shipment will take place.
According to the source, Indonesia still has 18 uncommitted cargoes for June ?December shipments which originated from Bontang LNG excess cargoes. (godang)
