President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and President of Mexico Felipe Calderon signed an oil cooperation agreement Monday involving their two state-run oil companies, Pertamina and Pemex.

The agreement establishes "a cooperation framework in the fields of development, scientific and technological investigation, and exploration and drilling ... between Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex) and Pertamina," Calderon was quoted by AFP as saying.

Yudhoyono, who arrived in Mexico City from Washington after attending the Group of 20 economic meeting over the weekend, said he was also seeking to increase bilateral economic relations between the two countries. (*)
