Indonesia Power inaugurates two diesel plants in Bali

PT Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) recently inaugurated the operation of two diesel power plants in Bali with a combined capacity of 170 MW.

The two power plants are located in Pemaron (125 MW) and Pesanggaran (45 MW) respectively, according to the press release from the company.

The inauguration ceremony was held on March 11 at the firm?s Maintenance, Operation and Generation Unit in Bali.

The operation of the power plants aim to anticipate a power deficit on the Bali subsystem that will happen when the 130 MW PLTG Gilimanuk gas turbine power plant is shut down. The PLTGU Gilimanuk will be shut down for a 50-day maintenance, the firm said.
