PT Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), said it is looking for gas supply for the 20 MW PLTGU Sunyaragi combined cycle power plant in Cirebon, West Java.

?We are looking for 20 mmscfd for the power plant. The potential suppliers we are approaching including ONWJ (Offshore North West Java block in West Java,? Indonesia Power?s Director Antonius Reseptias said.

A source told Petromindo that the power plant has been idle since 2013 due to absence of gas supplies.

?Its status now is a black start generator, meaning it will be operated in case of emergency during blackout. It uses diesel as fuel. If there is gas for the power plant, we shall operate it as a peaker and follower of the existing power supply, no longer as a black start generator,? the source said.
