Indonesia Power opens another coal supply tender for Suralaya

The company said in an announcement that it is looking for potential suppliers which hold Coal Contract of Work license from the government with reserves sufficient for at least 5 years of production.
IP is looking for coal with CV of between 4,850-5242 Kcal/kg (AR), total total moisture of 23.6% - 27% (AR), ash content less than 8% (AR), sulphur content less than 0.9% (AR) and HGI of 48-64.2.
Suralaya General Manager Bambang Susiyanto told Petromindo.Com that the tender will look for suppliers of 750,000 tonnes of coal for 2008 deliveries.
He further said that price benchmark for the tender would be revised upward in accordance to keep up with raising international coal price. He, however, declined to reveal the new price.
Previous tenders held by Suralaya failed to produce winner due to low benchmark price the company set.
The PQ tender submission would be closed on December 13, 2007. (godang)
