Indonesia Power opens coal supply tenders for Suralaya

PT.Indonesia Power, a unit of state electricity firm PLN, announced on Wednesday the pre-qualification tender to search for long-term suppliers for its Suralaya 3,400-MW power plant in Banten.
The company invites miners which hold coal contract of work (CCoW) licenses with supply capacity of at least 1 million tonnes per year and having experience in supplying coal to power plants.
Coal delivery will start in 2008, the company said without revealing the volume.
PQ documents could be obtained at the company?s HQ in Jakarta from January 16 - 31, 2008.
The company also announced another separate tender to supply 1.5 million tonnes of coal for Suralaya with CV of 5,042-5,242 , total moisture 23.6-27% , ash content less than 8%, sulfur content less than 0.9% and HGI of 48-64.2.(alex)
