Electricity firm PT Indonesia Power said Wednesday it had secured a total of 50,000 kiloliters of diesel fuel supplies for the two combined cycle power generations, the Grati in East Java and Tambak Lorok in Central Java.

?We will start unloading the fuels today and hope the Tambak Lorok and Grati will resume its normal operation tonight (Wednesday),? Indonesia Power?s operation director Achmad Sadikin told Petromindo.Com.

According to Achmad, about 20,000 kiloliters and 30,000 kiloliters of diesel fuel will be unloaded to the 750-megawatt (MW)Grati and the 1,000-MW Tambak Lorok, respectively.

He said these new fuel stocks were enough for one week operation for the two power plants.

Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PT PLN, halted partly the operation of the Grati power plant on Monday following the lack of diesel fuel supplies.

Meanwhile, PLN?s website on Wednesday morning showed that the Tambak Lorok could not perform its normal operation. (dino)
