Indonesia Power signs agreement with PT PAL

Power company PT Indonesia Power (IP), a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PT PLN, last week signed a long-term strategic agreement with state-owned shipyard PT PAL Indonesia for power plant engineering and maintenance.

IP said in a statement that the agreement was signed by the company?s President Director Sripeni Inten Cahyani and PT PAL President Director M. Firmansyah Arifin.

The statement said that the two companies also signed an agreement for PT PAL to supply high pressure heater for IP?s PLTU Labuan coal-fired power plant unit 1. No further details about the agreement were provided.

The statement said that PT PAL since the 1990s has made contribution in the construction of the unit 1-7 of the PLTU Suralaya power plant project, and other power plants owned by PLN.
