Indonesia Power signs MoU to develop coal ash recycling facility

PT Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), signed on Wednesday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ceragreen Pte Ltd and PT Waskita Karya to build a coal ash recycling facility at the former?s PLTU Suralaya coal fired power plant in West Java.

The facility will recycle coal ash from the power plant.

The MoU was signed by Indonesia Power?s Director of Development and Commerce Antonius RT Artono, Ceragreen CEO Toshihide Nakajima and Waskita Karya?s ECP Division Head M. Indrayana.

A feasibility study for the project has been completed and related parties have planned to carry out a final evaluation of the project.

Suralaya is the countrys largest power plant complex with a total capacity of 3,400 MW.
