Indonesia Power signs MOU with PGN

PT Indonesia Power (IP), a subsidiary of state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), announced it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with state owned gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) to promote cooperation in business.
The MOU was signed by IP?s President Director Supangkat Iwan Santosa and PGN?s Business Director Jobi Triananda Hasjim, IP said in a statement obtained Wednesday. It was not revealed when the MOU was signed.
Supangkat said in his speech the MOU was signed because IP wants to have a long-term relationship with PGN as gas producer. Gas as a primary energy is the strategic need of IP and IP wants PGN to ensure gas supplies for IP?s power plants.
Under the MOU, PGN agrees to hold communications, discussions, exchange information with IP on the utilization of gas in order to support IP?s business.
