Indonesia Power to hold tender for 20-million-ton coal supplies

PT Indonesia Power, the power generation subsidiary of state electricity firm PT PLN is holding a tender for contracts to supply a total of 20 million tons to its Suralaya power plant in Banten over the next four years

Achmad Sadikin , Indonesia Power?s operational director, told Petromindo.Com on Monday that the firm will hold the pre-qualification process from June 7 through June 15.

Tens of coal producers have expressed interest in the tender, including major producers PT Arutmin Indonesia, PT Bukit Asam, and Berau Coal.

Suralaya is the nation?s power plant complex with a combined capacity of 3600 Megawatt . (Godang)
