The state-owned electricity company PT Indonesia Power will increase the capacity of the Kamojang geothermal power generation unit from 140-MW to 200-MW, company corporate secretary Lili Tjarli Tahlan said.
Lili said that the boost in capacity would help increase the supply of power to the Java-Bali network to anticipate the possible higher power demand in 2003.
Lili said that Indonesia Power had signed an MoU with the state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina to implement the project. He said that the two companies were currently making the feasibility study. (R. Amoros).
