Indonesia?s crude and condensate production is on upward trend in 2008 and production have passed 1 million barrels per day mark in some days in the last two weeks of January, upstream watchdog BPMIGAS said as quoted by Republika daily.
BPMIGAS Chairman Kardaya Warnika said that crude production exceed 1 MBPD mark in January 21, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29 and 30. He said that the main contributor for the increase was ConocoPhillips Kerisi and Belanak fields in Natuna Sea, Chevron?s Central Sumatra fields and BP ONWJ in West Java.
He expressed optimism that the 910,000 BPD production target set by the state budget would be achievable should the trend continue. (*)
