Expatriates from Indonesia?s oil and gas companies have not been relocated or advised not to leave their working areas in the face of possible terrorist attacks sparked by U.S.-led military attack on Iraq.

?There are currently no ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia Inc. plans for employees or dependents to relocate,? company spokesperson Deva Rachman told Petromindo.Com Tuesday.

Other major oil and gas firms like BP Indonesia, PetroChina, TotalFinaElf & Indonesie and Shell Indonesia said that they had not evacuated their expatriate workers, and also have not asked them not to leave their project areas.

BP Indonesia?s vice president Satya W. Yudha said they had not issued warning for its expatriates to leave or not to leave. ?No, we have not issued such warning,? he told Petromindo.Com.

President Bush Tuesday gave Iraqi President Saddam Hussein 48 hours for him to leave Iraq before military action begins ?at a time of our choosing.? (godang)
