Indonesia?s tin export ups 62% in May

Indonesia's export of refined tin increased 62 percent to 9,873.03 tons in May from 6,082.37 tons in the previous month, Trade Ministry data showed.
Revenue reached US$122.88 million in the month, up 90.6 percent from $64.47 million in the previous month.
The sharp jump was due to the price increase in the world market aside of rising demand from several countries, such as Singapore, Japan and Malaysia.
Meanwhile, total refined tin export during January to May 2009 was $439.53 million with volume of 41,913.92 tons, the ministry said. (*)
