Eddy Purwanto, a senior official of Indonesia upstream oil and gas authority BP Migas, told Petromindo.com that the team would visit Guangzhou province, which has a potential LNG market of between two million and five million tons annually.
Indonesia has secured a contract to supply 2.6 million tons of LNG annually to China?s Fujian province, which will be taken from the Tangguh LNG project, being developed by a consortium led by Anglo-American firm BP Plc in the Bird?s Head area of Papua.
Guangzhou, China's largest and most prosperous city in the south, is located on the coast of the South China Sea and 182 kilometers away from Hong Kong.
Indonesia is desperately trying to find market for its LNG, which has been facing increasing competition from new producers. (Godang)
