Indonesia sells more LNG cargoes in Q1 2014

Indonesia sold 87 cargoes of LNG in the first quarter of 2014, 5 cargoes higher than previous year?s same quarter, an official with upstream oil, gas authority SKKMigas said as quoted by Investor Daily.

Gas Commercialization Division Head Arief Riyanto said that Indonesia sold 79 cargoes to export market, unchanged compared with last year?s figure and 8 cargoes to domestic buyers. In the first quarter of 2013, 3 cargoes were sold to domestic market which comprised 2 cargoes to Nusantara Regas in Jakarta and 1 swap cargo to Aceh fertilizer maker PT PIM, while in 2014 first quarter 7 cargoes were shipped to Nusantara Regas and one cargo to PIM.

Arief said Bontang LNG exported 48 cargoes in this year?s first quarter, down one cargo from last year, Arun LNG exported 3 cargoes, down from 5 cargoes, while Tangguh LNG exported 28 cargoes, up from 25 cargoes last year. Arun LNG will cease production this year.

The daily reported that in 2014 Tangguh LNG will supply 16 cargoes to domestic market, which will comprise of 5 cargoes to Nusantara Regas, ^ cargoes under swap mechanism with PIM and 5 cargoes to soon-to-be operational Lampung FSRU, while Bontang LNG will supply 22 cargoes to Nusantara Regas. (*)
