The government wants to charge a higher price on cargoes to be shipped from the BP Plc-led Tangguh LNG project to a terminal in China, a government official said.
?We want to sell LNG from Tangguh to Fujian at above US$6 per million British thermal units (MMBTU)," Eddy Purwanto, Deputy of Production at oil and gas upstream regulator BPMIGAS, said Tuesday.
China and South Korea have agreed to pay as much as $4 per MMBTU, he said on June 25.
?Other buyers have stated that they will follow the price that we?ll set for Fujian,? Purwanto told reporters in Jakarta. (Bernard)
