The Ministry of Public Works aims to auction the 32 kilometer Serpong Bogor toll road via Parung in 2027 after completing technical planning for the project later this year, Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo said.
Dody said preparation of the project's technical design has reached nearly 80% completion and is expected to be finalized by the end of 2026, allowing the government to proceed with the tender next year.
The toll road is estimated to require an investment of IDR 12.35 trillion (US$692.7 million) and will be developed under a public private partnership (PPP) scheme without support from the state budget.
The project will be undertaken by PT Bogor Serpong Infra Selaras, a consortium comprising PT Jasa Marga, PT Adhi Karya, PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur and PT Persada Utama Infra. The consortium will hold a 40 year concession.
The planned toll road will connect Serpong and Bogor via Parung and is expected to improve connectivity across the Greater Jakarta area by easing congestion on existing roads and supporting logistics flows between Bogor, Parung, Serpong and Tangerang.
Once operational, the expressway is expected to reduce travel time between Bogor and Tangerang to about 45 minutes.
The project will include two main junctions at Salabenda and Serpong, as well as three interchanges at Pondok Udik, Putat Nutug and Rumpin.
The route will be divided into four sections comprising Salabenda to Pondok Udik (3.97 km), Pondok Udik to Putat Nutug (9.27 km), Putat Nutug to Rumpin (8.23 km), and Rumpin to Serpong (10.56 km).
Dody said the ministry is continuing to accelerate project preparation so construction can proceed in line with the government's infrastructure development schedule.
