Indonesia and Denmark have agreed to explore possible cooperation on the development of alternative energy, Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda said Monday.
Hassan said that Denmark, which is known as a country that has been successfully replaced conventional energy with non-fossil energy, had offered its expertise in developing alternative energy in Indonesia.
"...The country has developed well without relying on oil and gas," Hassan was quoted by Antara news agency as saying after accompanying President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to meet Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig Moller Monday.
The two countries also examine the possible cooperation on environment and clean water treatment.
Hassan said that relevant officials will visit Denmark to follow up the agreement. (*)
