Indonesia is expected to increase coal output next year to between 340 and 350 million tons from this year?s revised target of 310 million tons, spurred by strong demand from India, Indonesian Coal Mining Association (APBI) said on Thursday.

APBI's chariman Bob Kamandanu told reporters that the all coal miners are set to increase their production due to the rising demand, especially to India.

Bob also said that the average price for next year will be roughhly US$90-$100 per ton. Until September this year, the price averaged around $95. ?From this month to the end of this year, the price will be hover above $95 per ton and may hit $100,? he said.

He also said that Indonesia will produce more coal to hit around 400 million ton in 2012.

For this year, the coal output will be lowered to 310 from initial target of 320 million tons due to anomalous weather condition, he added. (denny)
