An Indonesian delegation will soon leave for Bangladesh to look into the possibility of carrying out oil, gas exploration projects in that country as offered by the local government, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro said Wednesday.

Bangladesh had considered to allocate two oil exploratory blocks to state oil and gas firm Pertamina, Detik.com news website quoted Purnomo as saying on the sidelines of a seminar in Jakarta.

The Bangladeshi government offered the oil blocks to Indonesia during the recent visit to that country of President Megawati Soekarnoputri, Purnomo said. (*)
