Indonesia will no doubt win the contract for supplying China 3 million tons a year of liquefied natural gas (LNG), and the tender winner will be announced within one week, an oil and gas industry source told Petromindo.com on Wednesday.

?I can ascertain that Indonesia will come out as winner in the LNG tender. It will be announced within one week,? the source said.

The source added Indonesia will come out as sole winner.

BP PLC?s Tangguh project in Papua Province is among the three bidders for the tender to supply 3 million tons a year of LNG to China?s first LNG terminal in Guangdong province in southern China. The other two bidders are Australia?s Northwest Shelf gas project and Qatar?s Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Co. (alex)
