Indonesia has not yet decided whether or not to request OPEC to raise the cartel?s collective production ceiling in its meeting in Osaka, Japan on September 19, a senior government official said on Thursday.

Kardaya Warnika, acting oil and gas director general, said Algeria, one of the 11-member oil organization, would likely ask OPEC for an increase in that country?s production quota.

OPEC collective production ceiling is 21.7 million barrels per day (BPD).

Indonesia, Asia?s only OPEC member, has a quota of 1.125 million BPD from the cartel. (godang)
