Indonesian team wins gold medal in News South Wales open pit competition

A team representing mining companies in Indonesia won a gold medal in News South Wales Open Pit Competition held in Singleton, Australia, on November 3.

Team members were from fire & rescue units of PT Arutmin Indonesia, PT BHP Kendilo Coal Indonesia and PT Thiess Contractors Indonesia. Fitri Fasqual acted as team manager.

The group won a gold medal in fire competition. Other competitions included in the open pit contest were individual practice, heights rescue, pole rescue, breathing apparatus, life support and written test.

Also participating in the competition were nine Australian large miners like Drayton, Bayswater, Ravenworth, Hunter Valley, Camberwell, Bulga and Bengala. (*)
