Indosat boss installed as Pertamina?s head

Widya Purnama was installed on Wednesday as new president of state oil and gas company Pertamina to replace Ariffi Nawawi.

?The reshuffle aims to resolve several problems in Pertamina,? Roes Aryawijaya, Minister of State Enterprises? deputy for mining, energy and strategic enterprises, who led the installment ceremony, said. He did not provide the details of the program.

Widya had been the president of publicly listed company Indosat before his appointment as Pertamina?s new president.

Aside from Widya, Roes also installed several new officials into Pertamina?s board of management. Mustiko Saleh, who had been secretary to Pertamina board of commissioners until Wednesday, was installed as vice president, a new post in the board.

Downstream directorate was split into refinery directorate and marketing directorate and downstream director Harry Peornomo was replaced by two persons. Suroso, a division head at the directorate, was appointed as refinery director, while Ari Sumarno, president of Pertamina trading arm Petral, was installed as marketing director.

Hari Kustoro replaced Bambang Nugroho as upstream director. Until the appointment, Hari had been Bambang?s deputy at the directorate.

Director of Finance Alfred Rohimone retained his post.

Eteng Salam, director of business development and human resources, was replaced by Supriyanto, while the division was renamed directorate of general affairs and human resources. (Godang)
