ASX-listed Indus Coal Limited announced on Monday that progress on the 9,000 meter HQ core drilling program at Block 9 of the Jambi Coal Projects is continuing with superb results.
To date the 6 Jacro drilling rigs have completed 14 holes and another 6 holes are currently in progress.
"These 14 holes show that multiple coal seams occur on Block 9 of the Jambi Coal Projects over a minimum strike length of 2.8 kilo meters," the company said in the statement.
Samples from 8 drill holes have been submitted to Geoservices Laboratory and to date samples from 3 holes have been returned. The latest assay results confirm a calorific value for Coal Seam A of between 4,800 kcal/kg and 5,400 kcal/kg (adb).
Completed coal outcrop mapping across Block 9 identified 19 coal outcrops in total. The most significant of these is a 9-12m thick vertical outcropping seam over a strike length of 4.5km x 1.5km wide (Coal Seam A).
