Industries may pay electricity bills via installment

Industries facing difficulties in paying their greater electricity bills, following the May 1 electricity hike, can pay them through installment, said Director General of Electricity Jarman.
Bisnis Indonesia quoted Jarman on Monday as saying that the industry can make the installment proposal to the state-owned electricity firm PLN.
?If (they?re) facing difficulties in paying (the bills), they can discuss it with PLN,? he said.
He said that the installment mechanism is part of ways to help ease the burden of industries and help them to avoid from having to lay off workers or going bankrupt due to the electricity hike.
He added that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is scheduled to meet with the Ministry of Industry to discuss possible incentives for certain industries facing cash flow problem. (*)
