Inkor Prima to start production from E. Kalimantan coal mine

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Inkor Prima Coal will start production in August this year with initial output of 600,000 tonnes.

President Director Kang Duck Jai told Petromindo.Com on a sideline of Coaltrans Conference in Bali Monday that production would increase to 1.5 MT in 2009 and 2.3 MT in 2010.

The company has appointed contractor PT.Petrosea Tbk as mining contractor, Kang said, adding that 70 percent of the mine?s production would go to export market and the rest to domestic market.

The company mines for coal in Samboja area, Kutai Kartanegara regency and produces coal with CV range of 5,100-5,700Kcal/kg. (denny)
