Innovations and improvements drive up PEP Asset 3 lifting

PT Pertamina EP Asset 3, a subsidiary of energy company PT Pertamina EP, applied series of innovation and improvement programs in 2019, which has contributed to higher oil lifting of PEP Asset 3 operates working areas, which are located in West Java.
General Manager of PEP Asset 3, Wisnu Hindadari, said the improved performance was made possible, thanks to various innovative steps undertaken by the company throughout the year.
Lifting is series of activities to sell products to end consumers by monetizing oil and gas production of Pertamina EP. This include Oil and Gas Transportation (OGT) of Asset 3 which carries main duties in transmitting, final treatment and lifting oil and gas.
One area operation of OGT Asset-3 is Main Gathering Station (MGS) Balongan which is the largest terminal station of Pertamina EP. To optimize lifting, PEP Asset 3 continues to make improvements and innovations.

The oil lifting of PEP Asset 3 through the MGS Balongan in 2019 was 2.16 percent higher than target (or 102.16 percent). Overall, PEP Asset 3 lifting was 2.22 percent higher tout of total production of 4,771.797.54 bbls.
General Manager PEP Asset 3, Wisnu Hindadari, some improvement and innovative steps undertaken by PEP Asset 3 were including OSMix Formula. Through this step, the OGT MGS Balongan team reviews the formulation and composition of oil mixing from a number of PEP fields, PHE and other joint operations (KSO) in order to get the best oil quality and certainly stepping up the cargo lifting.
In addition, PEP Asset 3 also applies hybrid suction pump system, an innovation undertaken by OGT MGS Balongan team on pump facilities of storage tanks, aiming at improving the volume recovery of oil, both stock settling and dead stock.
Another innovation is Sea Line Volume Lifting, which is an activity for the recovery of oil stock settling in the SPL/SPM system. This activity was one of the top focuses of the OGT, OGM, and SKK Migas team in the fourth quarter of 2019 which became one of the government's backbone lifting programs.

The process of this activity began with: a study of hydraulic studies, coordination of synergies between Pertamina EP, Pertamina and SKK Migas, as well as the preparation of the flushing lifting operation procedure. Although this activity was the first program of Pertamina EP, this lifting optimization program has added 64,000 barrels of oil lifting to the MT Galunggung ship.
Through the implementation of the above improvement and innovation activities, Pertamina EP Asset 3 has succeeded in adding value creation to oil lifting monetization worth Rp199,124,250,865.
"We appreciate the realization of PEP Asset 3 lifting which contributed to the achievement of lifting nationwide by 100.1 percent," Head of the SKK Migas Operations Division Ngatijan said.
