INPEX? Berkat well shows good indication of gas

The result of drilling test at the Berkat-1 exploration well in the Masela block, Arafura Sea, which is operated by INPEX Masela Ltd., a subsidiary of Japan?s oil and gas firm INPEX Corporation, has showed good indication of gas, said an industrial source.
The source did not give further detail about the well test result.
The Berkat-1 well was spudded on April 24, 2014 using the Discover Seven Seas rig.
The Masela block is operated by INPEX Masela with a 65 percent participating interest, while Shell Upstream Overseas Services (I) Limited, a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc, holds a 30 percent participating interest.
