Inpex considering to expand to geothermal

Inpex Corporation is reportedly very keen to expand its energy business to geothermal development, as it is now seriously considering several projects for immediate development.
"We?re very interested to diversify our business to geothermal. We?re now considering several potential projects for development,? Inpex Corporate Services Vice President Nico Muhyidin told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Friday.
The company?s team has met with certain officials of the directorate general of new and renewable energy at the energy and mineral resources ministry to discuss about geothermal projects that are being tendered for development.
Asked about the projects being targeted by Inpex, Nico said, ?All geothermal projects that are very potential to be developed. We?re ready to invest. As soon as we?ve got the projects we?ll quickly do it,? he said.
The directorate general of new and renewable energy?s Geothermal Director Tisnaldi told Petromindo.com that seemingly Inpex was interested in developing the geothermal working areas of Lawu and Kepahiang.
