Inpex may sell Masela LNG to E. Asia, domestic buyers

Japanese firm Inpex Corp. may sell its future LNG production from Masela block in Timor Sea to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, an official at upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said on Tuesday.
Chairman R. Priyono said part of LNG production from Masela may also be sold to domestic market.
?We?re evaluating all marketing possibilities,? he told parliamentary hearing on Tuesday.
Based on the plan of development (POD) approved by the government, 4.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 13,000 barrels of condensate per day will be produced by Inpex from Masela using the Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) technology with production expected to start in 2016. (godang)
