Inpex opens tender for Masela FLNG lease study

Japan firm Inpex Corporation on Wednesday announced the opening of a tender to study the leasing of floating LNG system at its Masela block.

 

The company said that the service would consist of study of leasing of a floating, storage and offloading LNG system located in the Masela block with water depth ranging from 400m to 800m in the Arafura Sea, approximately 100 km south of Tanimbar islands.

 

Inpex is planning to develop a 4.5 MTPA of LNG plant in Masela with production expected to start in 2016. (alex)
